Late Fall Mushrooms



Rainy day foraging under white pines yielded a handful of edibles. Suillus which stain fingertips black and sticky, Lycoperdon puffballs with powdery pyramidal warts, and the lingering meadow mushroom.

What I've been up to...

Spring pea soup with fresh peas, fried prosciutto and clover flowers. #urban foraging

Mother's Day

With no further adieu, here are some belated snap shops from this years mothers day. Pam really out did herself this time! (I was sous chef) The menu included a lovely cheese board, simple spring salad, spicy potato corn chowder, a pizza sampling and chocolate cake adorned with fresh strawberries and edible wild violets. <3

Fresh Summer Peas

Peas are in season my friends!
Time for some light summery peas soup, pea shoot salad or some tortellini with peas and prosciutto. OR PERHAPS!… I will be adventurous and try a little mint and pea salad combo.
